August 10

Fascination of college in America is a lot of diversity. In Japan I hardly feel diversity of race. Sometimes it may be difficult to understand the difference of race. But I guess the difference is interesting and we learn many things from it.

Racial and ethnic diversity is one thing that truly distinguishes the US from Japan.

I think it's easier to build a harmonious society when almost everyone is similar--but diversity fosters creativity, so although we don't always co-exist harmoniously, we do benefit from the mixing of cultures and peoples.

The diversity definitely helps broaden people's minds on opinions of things! Like Nina said, it's much more difficult for us to live in harmony, but through diversity we can learn a lot!

I think so too. In Japan, it is hard to meet other people from abroad.

Anyway, enjoy this trip with us.
