Fascination of college in America is a lot of diversity. In Japan I hardly feel diversity of race. Sometimes it may be difficult to understand the difference of race. But I guess the difference is interesting and we learn many things from it.

Racial and ethnic diversity is one thing that truly distinguishes the US from Japan.

I think it's easier to build a harmonious society when almost everyone is similar--but diversity fosters creativity, so although we don't always co-exist harmoniously, we do benefit from the mixing of cultures and peoples.
